Strawberry Cheesecake

It has been a while I didn't bake cheese cake due to the unhealthy oven. The oven has been coughing smokes and lucky it doesn't went KABOOOM!!! Phew~ I am still alive!!!..huhu
The great thing is finally I found the 7 inch cake tin. I felt really happy to have it at first but after baking the cheesecake, the result, emm wasn't that great. Such a disappointed feeling. The cheesecake was a bit soggy in the middle. Kesian bile tengok cheesecake tu. I think to overcome this problem is just stick to the 8 inch pan or   bake for an hour at 150˚C and let the cake settle down in the oven for 30 minutes.

In 7 inch tin - Petite and look yummy!

Special Chicken Chop

While in Penang, I have decided to drag my BF to roam around and find something interesting. He showed me the Penang Port which I found quite beautiful at night. We went further up north looking for food.

Then I saw this glittery and a really nice decorated restaurant just besides the main road. There we decided to have Lamb Chops, Mixed Grilled, Mee Gulung (the waiter told it was the restaurant's special dish), Lime with Asam Boi and Soursop drinks, although earlier we are actually have eaten Glutinous Rice with Mango and Laksa. Probably I feel a bit greedy at that time. Lol! The portion of the food was BIG and can be considered as CHEAP.. The taste for me is good and nice suitable with the price. Total price of the dishes are below RM50.00! HAPPY!

So, guys don't forget to check out this place!

When the quake occur, I was having a conversation with the aunties, Mom, Opah and my brother. Suddenly, I felt dizzy and I look at my brother with a curious look. He looks suspiciously back at me and spilled out from my mouth, "Gempa ke?". Then everyone with a bit panicked and said, "Haah la, ingat ke pening-pening. Tengok, frame gambar goyang. Jom-jom kluar". We are all went out from the house and the neighbors too. Thank goodness everyone was safe.

The History

The development of Penang Hill as a holiday and tourist destination was introduced by Mr D. Logan, Mr J. Heim and Mr A. Wilson in 1897. The construction of the first Penang Hill railway started in 1987 and was completed in 1907 with financial support by the British Government. Due to the error of the train and tracks design, the launch of the first train using steam engines does not take off successfully.
After the First World War, the Government at that time took over the project. The engineer,  Mr Arnold R. Johnson were sent to Switzerland to study the design and construction of the hill railway train and upon his return, he undertake the construction works in 1920 to complete the train in 1923at a cost of 1.6 million Strait dollars. The project employed 750 laborers from Kuala Lumpur who have served in the Federal Malay States Railway.
The train commenced operation on 21st October 1923 while its official launch by Sir Lawrence Nums Gulliemard, Governor of the Straits Settlement was on 1st January 1924. The coach weight 7.5 tons and was presented to the Museum of Penang as its final resting place on 2nd December 1977, by Penang Hill Railway after being replaced by four modern Swiss made coaches costing RM2.3 million.
The first train train - this picture was taken at the Penang Museum.
The new coach has been opened to the public on 25fh April 2011.
